I love a good night out with my friends (who doesn’t). Usually, I go smart casual, whether it’s a cocktail bar, club, restaurant or anywhere else. Crop top, ripped jeans, maybe a baggy jumper, whatever I feel comfortable in. Sometimes I’ll add a bit of silver for a bit of sparkle, like a necklace and charm, but I always keep it simple and understated. I don’t do bling! Whatever the occasion or your taste it’s good to make yourself feel special with a beautiful piece of jewellery.
On special occasions, I like to up my game. I’m no peacock so I’m not interested in trying to outdo anyone. Smart casual is always my preferred style but if the occasion requires something a little more formal like a wedding outfit then I can do that too. I also like to get out the good stuff in the jewellery department. It just adds a great finishing touch to whatever look you’re going for. It adds a bit of glamour and makes me feel good.
Normally I’m strictly a ‘silver’ girl but I recently treated myself to something a bit different for when I want to feel extra special. A beautiful tennis bracelet was my choice. This one is called Hailey, the same as my name, just a different spelling. Yes, it’s silver again but it has gorgeous gold vermeil and contains stunning round white stones. It looked good on the CARAT LONDON website and it looked even more impressive when I received it. I opened the slim white box and there it was glittering, stretched out along the dark interior. It was a great first impression. I’m sure it will get noticed on my arm too, being so stylish and sparkly.
I’ve lost a few necklaces before and some had sentimental value so it really upsets me when it happens. I guess a link or a clasp broke. So I was also keen to check how durable the bracelet felt. I was impressed, it looked and felt really well made. The clasp mechanism in particular seemed solid and reliable as it’s secured on both sides. I’m so happy with it and can’t wait to show it off. I think my friends will love it too!
I always try and purchase as ethically and sustainably as possible. CARAT don’t use mined gemstones instead they use sustainable alternatives. This was the business model created by its husband and wife founders in 2003. Now they have over 100 points of sale worldwide, including in Selfridges. They have a whole host of celebrity customers such as Lady Gaga, Emma Willis, Courtney Love, Pixie Lott, Lily Allen, Ellie Goulding, Lucy Watson, and Alesha Dixon. That’s a pretty impressive endorsement of this jeweller’s credentials and its products, so I feel I’m in good company.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be back again soon for some more jewellery. Starting with replacing my lost silver necklaces!
